Spirit Day-Oct 20th
For the past few months (actually it's been happening for a very long time ago), teenagers in the U.S. have been committing suicide because they're bullied at school for being LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transsexual).
That is why, every Oct 20th, it will be Spirit Day (when everyone will wear purple, like pink for breast cancer), honoring the young ones who died & work hard not to let more kids die just because they're different (physically & emotionally).
Spirit Day is everyday. These kids are threatened and hurt all the time for their difference & that is why we must encourage them and do our best everyday.
These kids are too young to die. They are human beings just like us. They deserve to live for themselves, their families & their futures. They go so much to offer life & vice versa.
It is very important to open our minds & hearts, accept & love them for who they are.

This artwork I drew to honor Spirit Day. I used the color purple which became a symbolism for Spirit Day. Since it's fall & slowly getting into winter, I drew myself wearing warm clothing to spread the warmth & love to everyone. My stretched out arms to show acceptance.
I hope everyone won't be judgmental about this & just at least respect them that this is who they are. You wouldn't like it if someone dropped a bad comment about you just because you're different from them.
